1. Download the MetaTrader installer.

2. Open the installer and navigate to "Settings".
3. Change the name of the "Installation Folder" by adding a numerical identifier at the end e.g. "01". Click "Next" and complete the installation.
4. Once installation is complete, right-click your desktop shortcut and rename it to reflect the numerical identifier you used in the previous step e.g. MetaTrader01.
5. Repeat the process with a new numerical identifier each time, this will allow multiple instances of MT4 to be created.

2. Complete the install of the application as usual.
3. Rename the install folder to allow for additional installs.
a. In the search bar at the bottom of your screen type "File Explorer" and open the "File Explorer" application.
b. On the left hand side of the File Explorer window click on your "C:" drive, open the folder named "Program Files".
c. Find the install folder (often called MetaTrader) and rename it using a numerical identifier e.g. "MetaTrader01",
4. Rename the desktop shortcut to reflect the numerical identifier allocated in the previous step e.g. "MetaTrader01".
5. Edit the properties of the desktop shortcut by right-clicking the MetaTrader icon and clicking "Properties".
a. In the "Target" field edit the name to reflect the name you chose at Step 3c.
b. In the "Start In" field edit the name to reflect the name you chose at Step 3c.
6. Run the installer again and repeat the above steps until you have the required number of instances, making sure to change the numerical identifier each time.

2. Locate the installation folder and create a copy of it.
a. In the search bar at the bottom of your screen type "File Explorer"and open the file explorer application.
b. On the left of the File Explorer window click on your "C:" drive and open "Program Files".
c. Locate the installation folder "MetaTrader" and create a copy. Click the folder once, hit Ctrl+C and then Ctrl+V.
d. Rename the new folder (MetaTrader - Copy) using a numerical identifier e.g. "MetaTrader01".
e. Open the newly created folder, right-click the "terminal.64" file and click "Create shortcut" to create a new desktop shortcut.
f. Navigate to your desktop and right-click the newly created desktop shortcut (terminal64 Shortcut), click "Rename" and rename the shortcut to match the name used in Step 2d.
g. Repeat the above steps as many times as necessary until you have the number of instances that you require.
