1. Type "Services" into the search bar at the bottom of your screen and open the Service application.
2. Scroll down to and double click on "Windows Update" to edit properties.
3. Click the drop down menu next to "Startup type" and set it to "Disabled". Then click "Apply" and "OK" to save your changes.
4. Windows Updates are now disabled, if you wish to re-enable follow the exact same steps and set the "Startup type" to "Manual" instead of "Disabled".
